Jodie & Bo

My love for animals was something that started at a very young age. I was fortunate to have parents who instilled in me a great respect for animals and their lives so it was only natural for me that pet photography become a part of my portfolio. Even as I went through photography school it was my cat cleo who was my constant subject. I could see the look of "not again" in her eyes every time she would see a lens in her face :-)

Through my photography I have been so blessed to have met such wonderful people and Jodie is definately one of them. Her Aunt had given her my details and she contacted me to take pictures of her handsome Rotti Bo. Unfortunately Bo had terminal cancer and passed away a little over a month after the shoot.

The shoot was done at her parents property where she and Bo would go on their morning walks, and where Bo hung out with his pal Nemo.I really wanted to capture the essence of their everyday lives together and felt honored to be given the opportunity to do so.

Jodie has created a Blog about her life with Bo and it also contains information on special diets etc for owners of pets with cancer - http://www.4mybo.blogspot.com/.

Below is the testimonial that Jodie wrote recently -

Dear Tracey-

I believe people are brought into our lives for a reason. With that being said, you captured such amazing photos of my Rottweiler Bo and I together. I look at them daily as a reminder of how very special he was to me.

What I liked most about your style of photography is that the photos and surroundings are as things happen and the photos do not appear “staged”.

The photos you have taken of Bo bring smiles and joy to me more than you will ever know.

I look forward to seeing you again when we bring another fur-baby back into our lives.

Best,

Jodie Puster and Bo the Rottweiler
